Istikhara Prayer and Dream Interpretation

I have done the Istikhara Prayer twice now. During the prayer I asked a specifice question: "Should I keep [a person's name] out of my life?" and couple days later I dreamt blood.

Now, I am confused as to what that dream might have meant: Should I keep [a person's name] OUT of my life or should I keep [a person's name] IN my life?

And if the dream had no associtation with the prayer, then I would like to know if there is any meaning to the dream (seeing blood).
