Dream interpretation needed about a dream of my father and a young black guy, please?

I dreamed that I was standing at a tall circular table (the kind that are used in night clubs). A young black man was seated to the right of me, while my father was seated to my left. My father was looking at a couple of papers that were stapled together. I could hear the song "Hold on to the Night" by Richard Marx playing. My father was looking at the sheets of paper, which contained the lyrics to the song. The song had a skip in it.

The young black fellow, who was acting rather silly, seemed to be making fun of the song, while my father seemed to be very serious about the meaning of the song, "Hold on to the Night." My father looked very pale, and looked like he was slowly dying (from the pale tone of his skin). He looked at me as if to say, "Please don't buy into his foolishness and folly - - this is a meaningful, important reflection of something important to us."
