Environmental geology or classical geology degree?

Is one more marketable with a degree in environmental geology verses a regular old geology degree? Not sure what the difference is between the two, maybe someone can explain it to me.

Environmental Geo I think is better. Many company's these days are restrained by environmental regulations. An awareness of these issues can help your job prospects. Also sulfide minerals, which some metals are found in can cause major environmental damage if not handled properly. Your skills in mineral identification and awareness of these environmental issues can help your future job prospects. I was hired in this company due to my environmental geology degree. Also if i wanted to become a environmental officer or something else similar I wouldn't be overlooked.

I don't really think it matters too much. I think it matters more what you're interested in. Both majors are very similar. i think you should do it based on your intrests. They both about equally marketable.
