So if you can please help answer these questions for me.The book im using is EARTH SCIENCE: GEOLOGY, THE ENVIROMENT AND THE UNIVERSE. The book is published by Glencoe Science. Im on chapter 11 and 12.11.1 ATMOSPHERIC BASICS pg. 277(questions)Q3. Rank the main atmospheric gases in the tropospheric in order from most abundant to least abundant. Do not include trace gases.11.2 MOISTURE IN THE ATMOSPHERE pg. 284 (questions)Q2. What is the relationship between temperature and altitude in a temperature inversion?Q4. Compare and contrast humidity and relative humidity.11.3 MOISTURE IN THE ATMOSPHERE pg. 291(questions)Q1. Explain why a cumulonimbus cloud is not concidered to be low, middle, or high cloud.12.1 THE CAUSES OF WEATHER pg. 304Q2. What must happen to keep the poles from steadily cooling off and the tropics from heating up over time?12.2 WEATHER SYSTEMS pg. 311Q4. What is the Coriolis effect? How does it affect air in the northern and southern hemispheres?*THE ANSWERS DO NOT NEED TO BE FROM THE BOOK.and please don say just ask your teacher or read it again.im on a family emergency and im unable to contact my teacher and its a little hard to reread the chapters again cause i have alot going on. so please, please help. |

| will you plese help me with my earth science homework? Blondie, it would not be right to give you answers that are in your book. These are basic questions and it is important that you learn to work at learning. The future is yours and if you want it to be right you need to work at it and learn so that you can make changes.Your family emergency shouldn't interfere with your education. Take a few minutes from your "busy" schedule to do something beneficial to your future.OK, I decided to help. The troposphere is the layer of atmosphere closest to the earth's surface extending to an average altitude of approx. 36,000 ft. The gases in the troposphere are 78% Nitrogen, 21% Oxygen and 1% Other gases. The Coriolis force is the effect of friction of the earth against the atmosphere as the earth rotates. It affects wind and ocean currents. In the Northern hemisphere it deflects to the right, it is the opposite in the Southern hemisphere. Example: when you flush a toilet in the Northern hemisphere the water flows clockwise. Toilets flush counterclockwise in the Southern hemisphere. Ok I'm not sure about the toilet thing but it does affect air currents in that manner.Normal temperature lapse is a decrease of approximately 2 degrees C (3.5F) per 1,000 ft. of altitude. In a temperature inversion (inverted) the temperature increases with altitude. The tilt of the Earth's axis helps stabilize the temperatures but the effects of CONVECTION have a much greater effect. Air currents circulate from the equator as they absorb heat and transport the heat from the lower latitudes to the upper latitudes, as the air cools it becomes more dense (and heavier) and flows back to absorb more heat. This cycle continuously repeats itself. Convection is earths air conditioner. This keeps the poles from getting too cold and the equator from getting too hot.Cumulonimbus clouds are VERTICAL cloud columns, that is why they are NOT low, middle or high level clouds.Humidity is the amount of moisture in the air. Relative Humidity is the actual amount of moisture in the air compared to the total amount that could be present AT THAT TEMPERATURE. Dewpoint is the temperature at which the air can hold no more water and becomes saturated. This is the temperature that the water in the air starts to become visible and clouds form.Oh, you lucky girl! Read this and you will learn. |
