| Geology Problem!?
My first equation was: Lets say a farmer uses 9000 acre-ft/yr to irrigate her land. If she irrigates 6000 acres how many inches of water did she apply per year? -I got 1.5 ft/yr Then: Lets say the aquifier she was extracting the irrigation water from had a porosity of .25, then what depth would the water table decline due to her irrigation? (Assume no additional recharge and area of irrigation equals the area from which groundwater was extracted.) I do not get how to do the second part. I just need an equation!      |
