Geology of Northside Storage Tunnel?

Hello, I am doing the research in geology aspect of Northside Storage Tunnel in Sydney, so far I am concerning about the tunnel and its surrounding ( since I am new here). For example what is the most abundant type of soil or rock in North Sydney, and how does it affect the construction of the tunnel? Or maybe type of rock that is used to construct the tunnel?
