| Hoover Dam Geology?

I took this picture at Hoover Dam, and I need to identify certain parts of the picture. What kind of rock is that along that entire side? (not the dam itself) Also, what type of rock is it? (igneus or sed?) Also, are those darker bands igneous intrusions? Or is it sedimentary rock that was layered down, then tilted? I'd really appreciate any help, and if you spot any other geological features and point them out to me I'd really appreciate that also!      |
