| Where did George Bush get any training on economics? What brilliance he has shown, I would like to know how to get oil prices from $11 to $112 and cause havoc with peoples jobs and companies struggling with fuel costs. And in turn helping only a few oil companies. Janice - He could have done a lot. He could have made automotive companies make higher mileage cars now instead of 2020. What a joke! He should not have vetoed the bill to do away with tax incentives on oil companies. For some reason, he loves oil at $112. He loves the oil lobby. What about all that talk about converting old navy/army bases to nuclear plants and getting more electric cars. There are many things he could have done but he didn't! He could have forced all cars to be sold like the Pruis (50 - 60 mpg). If you need a gas guzzler then pay an extra $4000-$6000 tax to subsidize the smaller cars. He could have begged harder to the Saudi Prince and not accepted any golden swords when he was rejected. |
