Mccain's comment that he "doesn't really understand economics" ???

How do you feel about this:

"At a recent meeting with the Wall Street Journal editorial board, Republican presidential candidate John McCain admitted he “doesn’t really understand economics” and then pointed to his adviser and former Senate colleague, Phil Gramm - whom he had brought with him to the meeting - as the expert he turns to on the subject."
all other candidates, Obama, Clinton have debated their positions on FORECLOSURES, NAFTA, JOBS ...haven;t heard Mccain tackle these issues.
But you can't let the advisors UNDERSTAND all the issues ...I mean you can't be clueless about the conomy!

There is a video on Youtube of Ron Paul asking him an economics question in a debate, and McCain giving a total nonanswer, making it very clear he hadn't a clue what it was about. The kindest version of this video shows Ron Paul's question, McCain's slightly panicked nonanswer, and the priceless look on Ron Paul's face, he being too gentlemanly to humiliate McCain further with further questions. The video caption reads 'Yeah, Ron, we're confused too.'

You can find it if you go to Youtube and put in 'Ron Paul' and 'McCain'.

And to people who think it is not important that the president understand the economy, note that the less they understand, the more they have to turn policy over to someone else blindly - someone else whom you have NOT elected.

However, I haven't seen any major economic bona fides from any of the main 3 candidates.

Her is a humble man, obviously he knows a lot or he wouldn't be leading in the Republican race.

I don't think any of them are totally well rounded, they have a focus, a strongpoint, and they get help with the rest of it, McCain obviously is foreign policy.

Just goes to show that neither of them have any clue on economics, but they aren't bright enough to admit it, and then they are even worse by try to BS everyone with things they don't have a clue about, counting on that the majority of people are not economist, so that the majority will by their BS and not know they they don't have a clue.

Didn't know any of them studied economics? so I'll assume all three must relie on someone else for advise or If any are not when they have little education on the area I deffinetly want to know that, as We really don't need an idiot running our economy.

As for foreclosures: People sign loans that they can not afford to pay, and that is suppose to be the governments responsibilty?
I didn't notice in the Constitution that the government was to buy everyone a house: if So I'm running out to buy mine.

Do you really think that presidents make decisions without consulting their advisors? Obama has his advisors too. Just like McCain does. So good job trying to imply that he doesn't have a grip on economics. Didn't work. I'm not voting for him but I can't stand these misleading questions...

I have a question. Do you think it's COOL to type the same question only rephrase it 3 times?
