Will they take your economics (?) tax refund?

If you have a current garnishment for old student loan and your tax refund was kept this year to pay the same--will they keep the refund from the one the President has issued? I think it is called Economic _______ Refund. (Can't remember what she said the name of it is). And please--Be Serious. Don't answer if you don't know. I appreciate all serious answers. Thanks.

It's called a stimulus rebate or stimulus payment, and yes they'll take it toward what you owe.

I think its called Economic Stimulus, and
its to help the slow economy right now
but that has nothin to do with your
return, the question is if youre a young
person and your parents put you on
their return then you wont get the check
even if you worked. Because my daughter
made 3,500 last year and is in college
we claimed her expenses and she got some
money back. But unfortunately she wont
get the rebate check because we cleaimed
her on our return. Sucks, dont it.?

YEP. Bush will help you pay your obligations by applying your economic stimulus rebate to your defaulted student loans.
