Economics: What demand factor affects the following situation?

Choices:
1.Population
2.Preference
3.Consumer Expectations

"Telus Co. greatly increases orders for wire to satisfy transmission needs. (The market is copper wire)"

I'm thinking it's consumer expectations, but I don't know how to explain how this factor influences the situation mentioned above. Help me to explain please?
