| Reference after being laid off?
I was laid off recently. Is my employer supposed to give good reference? What if they say they fired me. Or should I just put down a co worker for reference that I knew from work?

Most employers will only verify dates of employment, positiion, and rate of pay. They will not give any more information. They can't state false things in a reference - that is illegal, and the reason for the first part of my answer. |
