It really depends on the state requirements and the college where you will be completeing your degree. Check with them and find out what is required.

| What courses do I need to take to get a degree in education?
I want to take a couple online courses...ultimatly I'd like to become an elementary or jr high school teacher. What courses should I be taking?

Just get a course catalog from the school of education at the university you wish to earn your degree from and review the required courses. A degree (B.A.) in education will take you 4 years of full time course load. + a semester of student teaching.

How many credits do you have? Have you completed any courses towards a an elementary degree? Best bet is to speak to a counsler at the school you are attending or would like to attend. They will go over your transcript and they will tell you everything you need for your degree. I am in the process of receiving my health/physical education certificate
