Need Advice: Currently am Electrical Engineer Student?

I'm currently an Electrical Engineering student (currently on 3rd year of 5 year program). My concern is which career/jobs gives the most opportunity to climb in the ranks? And jobs with most earning potentially for EE?

I'm also feeling down about being an EE, I'm an average student gpa around 3.10. I only went into EE because technology is interesting, but I want to do something exciting and cutting edge. Most of my internships were boring.

Any career advice?
