BS in Electrical Engineering in NY?

I am currently seeking my Associates Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology at New York City College of Technology (Obviously in New York). I am wondering if it would be a good Idea to acquire this Associates Degree, and then pursue my Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering at City College? How much time will be needed to acquire my Bachelors degree? Is there any way I can Finish in 1 1/2 years after my Associates?

All Answers are welcome, from people who know or have experienced this.
