| I'd like to be a Civil Engineer, but...?
I'm just not sure how good I am at Mathematics. I pick up science and it's concepts very well, but I have not even taken Physics or Calculus at my community college yet. All I want to do is be able to make a lot of money in a field where I can use my creativity, and create new and innovative designs and engineer them to be put to a good use.
The other thing is that I'm almost done with my GE requirements to transfer, but if I choose to major in Engineering I would need a lot more mathematics classes under my belt, and I'm very set on being able to transfer in just a year. And when I ask counselors if it's better for my situation to transfer into the UC another major of interest, and then switch majors after I get in, they said they advise against it. I do not mind at all taking countless mathematics and science classes AFTER I get into a UC, I just really do not want to spend another 2 years at a community college when I could transfer in just 1.
What do you think?
