What are the difference between software engineers and electronic computer engineers?

I need help.... I'm choosing a course to take in my college.... software engineering or electronic computer engineering...???? still confused!!!

Software engineers write programs.

Electronic computer engineers design computer hardware (i.e. electronics).

The skills required are really very different - if you don't know the difference I really recommend you go talk to the tutors or to someone who has done the courses.

Check and see what each syllabus covers. Software engineering is, of course, writing the software (system or application) that runs on the computer. It used to be called "Computer Programmer" in my day! No idea what the other one is - aren't all computers electronic? Or are quantum computers around now?
