| Absolutely. You can get a master's degee in whatever you want, but semi-conductors, or RF devices, wireless propagation, and fiber optics are subject you will probably find immediately tractable with your background. All of these fields will allow you to get a masters degree in EE without too many extra courses. If you are interested in semiconductors, there are many areas of electrical engineering you can get into. These include analog and RF devices, digital, improving speed and efficiency of existing processes, or applications such as LEDs and other areas.
If you are interested in SC, you will most likely do very well in EE. I happened to not be so iterested in device physics and materials but I know many people who have had prolific careers in this area. Many friends and proffers of mine began their careers in physics an moved into semiconductors. There is a lot you can do with a degree in SC, as it is the foundation for most EE programs. |
