I'm studying engineering for undergrad but?

if I decide to go to film school for my a MFA in film production, will I be disadvantaged? a lot of undergrad film students who have that huge amount of experience may have the upperhand in the master's course. Need I worry about this? I mean I don't really like engineering but i'm already at the end of my sophmore year so it'd be a waste if i trsfered to a undergrad film program or eng lit prog. Basically I can only picture myself working on films and I am certain this will be career, should I tsf to a film or english literature program so it'll help me with my foundation of filmmaking? (i also love eng lit). Can someone who is in a similar situation give me some advice? Thanks a bunch
