What is Engineering and is Board Work (Graphics) or CAD needed to become an Engineer?

For Engineering I was thinking subjects that i need to do:

(Not keen on Graphics (CAD) is it needed for Engineers)

Maths B
Physics
Chemistry
English
IPT
Economics
Graphics (?????)
