To all current/former Engineers?

I have been working in engineering for 5 years now and I'm still unhappy. I like to work with people but as you all know engineers aren't known for their social skills. Not to mention the tedious tasks and long hours. Does anyone know a person who has changed careers and found a more gratifying experience? Have you done this yourself? What was it? Was this overall change better of worse? Sometimes I wanna "Office Space" this whole thing and just go work outside somewhere.

Lets assume money wasn't an issue.
