we practice integration, differentiation, vectors, matrices........... a lot of maths in 10+2 level. in engineering, we apply them in physics concepts like electricity,electro-magnetism for (EEE) and thermodynamics, viscosity for (MECHANICAL).

chose engineering subject based on ur interest in intermediate physics and practice maths well..

As has been said a very strong background in math and science.

Calculus, physics and chemistry are all VERY important to engineers.

HOWEVER

You also need VERY good verbal and intrapersonal skills. You will likely be reporting your findings to your boss/client and it doesn't matter how good you are at math if you can't get the point across!

So you also need ENGLISH and VERBAL SPEAKING skills.

Will likely be working in TEAMS so TEAM WORKING and ORGANIZATION are IMPORTANT!
