does software engineering require lot of mathematics?

I am a senior in high school and am considering taking software engineering next year. I'm kind of hesitant because all throughtout high school I've been weak in math. Should I let this discourage me?

It is a mathematical discipline, but tends to be specific areas of maths. You may find, however, that when the maths is attached to something that interests you, you find it more engaging and understandable.

There are certain parts of software engineering which require more maths than others - modelling, graphics, for example.

yeh well im in highschool too anyway i dnt think it requires maths as much but you need to be really good at encoding and memorise lots of stuff its still as hard as maths tho lol

im in the same posistion Im in to software and creating stuff and im pretty basic at Maths but i think all we u need is basic maths

the computer works out the rest for you,
