| Is a tablet notebook necessary for an engineering student? I am a high school senior going into Mechanical Engineering, and I was wondering if I should get a tablet notebook or a plan old regular laptop. I was just wondering because wouldn't it be easier for me to take notes and draw diagrams?      |

| Tablet notebooks also make it easier to screw around and not pay attention to lectures. I would say they're not a necessity, unless you're minoring in graphic design or something of that ilk. Otherwise, a notebook with a pencil and ruler will suit your needs just as well. |
