Nowadays, What is the best job to have?

Personally, I think Engineering is right up there, catering to the worlds power and energy sources (oil refineries) . As the gas keeps rising so will the price of everything. Who knows maybe a gallon of milk will cost $10.00. Everything will rise to keep up with the gas prices it will have to as the trucks delivering will spend more in gas. just a matter of time. We are seriously looking for a grand depression and worse then before. Surely, many businesses will close as some have already. Oil refineries pay millions to Engineers. That is surely one business that will not have to close because of prices. But are your jobs safe and secure?????? Are you ready for the inevitable??

Collections. An awful job I work a few hours a week but it is booming. I hate it myself but as things get more and more expensive, people can't pay their bills and they go to collections. Then sleazy collectors (some are sleazy) call and ridicule them and try to get them to pay etc. I am studying sociology but I don't think there will be much money in it to tell you the truth. I would rather be comfortable and happy than rich and unhappy. Of course, I would prefer be rich and happy but that seems to be a really hard combination for people to get.

i think my boyfriend has one of the best jobs. he works with computers....developing software, programs and call centers and running them. he usually only works 45 hours per week but has every weekend off and he gets paid top dollar for his services. he can work from home or go into the office to work most days and pretty much makes his own hours. he is so in demand that he can pretty much do whatever he wants and is so invaluable to the company he works for that barring a global disaster, he will be set for life.
