How could I learn about a music studio and how to work in one?

I want to learn everything there is to learn so I can maximize my skills in producing. Where can I do this? I want to learn how the knobs work and the sliders, I think it's called music technology, or music engineer.

community college has classes for cheep you can also do intern work for a grade. that may get your foot in the door
