How good is the Symbiosis Institute of technology, in pune, for engineering?

Is the B.Tech program recognized? Is it affiliated to any recognized board or it autonomous? How is the grading system.. ATKT's or GPA's? How old is it and how have been the student placements been? How is the overall infrastructure, especially the hostel? I am not looking for placements as i plan to study further after graduation.. so would it be recommended for me?
