Need Ideas for Mechanical Engineering Final Project?

I am a freshmen ungraduate student in an intermediate engineering class, and for our final project of the year we have to take an already create part or assembly and modify it to be more practical/efficient. The idea had to already be in existance with a modification done to that idea.

I am at a complete loss on what I should do.... and any help would be appriciated.

Assignment: 4-5 moderately difficult parts put together into one assembly.
