This is a VERY broad category of study which can account for any job between someone who designs digital clocks to someone who develops artificial intelligence. Generally speaking, electronics engineers work with the hard circuits and wiring up all the components on a circuit board to achieve different effects. "Electronics" means there will be some sort of computer control going on within the circuits (otherwise, they're called electrical engineers). Computer engineers integrate those circuits with software. However, computer engineers usually work a lot with the hardwiring as well.

Electronics / computer engineers deal with the design of electric circuits used in electronic devices. The study includes top level system design down to the microscopic (or nanoscopic these days) circuits of microprocessors.
