An etiquette question for ladies only?

When you're in a washroom without a garbage and you need to change your pad because it's that time of the month, what would you do with it?

I suppose you could wrap it in a tonne of toilet paper and put it in your bag, keeping your eyes peeled for a garbage can. But what if you did not have a bag, or pockets?
I've only run across one washroom in my lifetime like this. I'd feel very awkward walking outside with it in my hand if I had male friends waiting. I'd hate to throw it on the ground, but you're right, maybe that *would* get the point across...

I was wondering what other women would do in that situation as well! That has happened to me and what I did was I just wrapped the pad in the wrapper it came in and placed it in my bag and tossed t in the garbage can. I think there was another time where I just wrapped it with some tissue and walked out with it in my hands (I didn't have my bag with me) and just threw it in the first garbage can I saw. It's the best way to toss it out if you don't have a bag or pockets. Just wrap it up generously with some tissue paper, just enough to conceal it. It's a very discrete way to throw it out.
