What is the proper etiquette with an ex's family?

If a woman has been divorced from her husband for several years (he is remarried, she is not), what is appropriate contact with his family? Is it okay for her to be invited to his family reunions and the like? Is it appropriate for her to speak to his family everyday?
There are children, but they are adults.
