Maxwell has a spectacular aura about
A question of etiquette: greeting my girlfriends friends for the first time?

I'v always been crap at this sort of thing.
When you greet a man, whether he is a friend or your boss or a business contact or a family member or a complete stranger a hand shake is the obvious if not the only way to greet him.
When you greet a woman I suppose there are rules that should be followed......
Anyway, I'm meeting my girlfriends friends for the first time this weekend, when I'm introduced should I just go for a hand shake or a hand shake and a kiss on the cheek or just a simple hug? I don't want to seem too "cold" but I don't want to seem like I'm leering at them either LOL
I'v probably over analysed this but I'v always been a bit nervous when meeting new people and to cap it off their not the usual binge drinking, kebab munching bad manered types of people that I'm used to (i,e my friends lol) they are quite prim 'n proper or so I'm told....
