Is it right etiquette to request uneaten food, which you ordered in restaurant, to be packed and taken home? I'm a waitress, and the only time it's ever seen as a little ridiculous for someone to ask for food to go is when they only have a bite or two left. In your case, it would be rude NOT to take it! That's just a waste! OF COURSE you should take it home!!!

Is it right etiquette to request uneaten food, which you ordered in restaurant, to be packed and taken home? I would do exactly the same thing except I would be very gracious and apologise for the non arrival of two guests. Most places would be happy to give you the food that you paid for.

Is it right etiquette to request uneaten food, which you ordered in restaurant, to be packed and taken home? Ask for a "doggie bag" and the restaurant will gladly provide you with a container of some sort to take your uneaten food home with you.
