Can You guys tell me the right etiquette?

In our country the sun sets at 6:00PM now. so at 5:45PM, how should i greet a person - by saying 'Good Afternoon' or 'Good Evening'? I always get confused.

If a talk to a lady whose marital status is unknown to me, then how should i address her - by Miss or Mrs? Say her name is X. then should i have to address her Miss/Mrs every time after the introduction or I can call her by name thereafter regardless of whether he / she is senior to me by age, what is the right etiquette? Can you guys help me?

Another thing that confuses me - how should I address my boss - by 'sir/madam' or i will call him/her by name?
I am very new to the corporate culture. This question may sound silly but I will be glad if you guys give me some more advices about greeting or addressing cases.

I say Good afternoon from 12:00 - 5:00. Then I say good evening. It doesn't matter what time the sun sets, I consider 5:00 to be evening-time.

You could go either way with it being 5:45 good day good afternoon or good evening all are acceptable!
it dont matter what time the sun comes up or goes down

the name just call her by her name! I hate to hear miss or mrs anytime just call me by my name!


your boss now that is however your realationship is! i call my boss "Boss lady" but my boss and I get along great!
now if in company i call her by her first name!
