Yes. If he doesn't suggest a wine with dinner, don't order it. He might think you need the alcohol to get through the date with him, and he'll be so paranoid about it, it will be hard for him to have a relaxed conversation with you.

Nope, it's fine. He's driving, so he may be abstaining so he can get you home safe. I think it's rather poor manners to order the most expensive plate on the menu, but a glass of wine? No, it's okay, esp if you're really nervous. TX Mom |
