What is the proper etiquette for a groom to ask a girl to be his best gal?

I am recently engaged. It is a sudden engagement and have not been in the ralationship long. My fience has asked a girl to stand up with him as his best man. I have never met her or even talked to her. He wants to put her in her own gown, in a color and style all her own seperated from my bridesmaids. This is my first wedding and his third. I am not sure if he assuming this would be okay is ok. I am not okay with it but do not want to cause problems in their relationship. What should I do?

It would be okay for her to have a different dress it should be the same color though, she should go shopping with you and your bridesmaids. You definately need to get to know her

I wouldn't worry about causing a problem in their relationship because they're not getting married you and him are! It's your wedding don't let anything or anyone ruin it!
