Friend going through a hard time with death in family?

One of my friends recently experienced two deaths this week one was killed in Iraq and her ex boyfriend was in a car accident a couple of weeks ago and yesterday was rushed into emergency surgery for internal bleeding and she found out today that he didnt make it. The thing is she is blaming herself for her ex boyfriends death cause she was on the phone with him at the time of the accident. She is also having problems at home. So how can i help her? I really care about her and i have no idea what to do because ive never been in this situation. Please help!
