Do you buy birthday gifts 4 family who forget your birthday?

My family forget my birthday. Every birthday - for my 6 brothers & sisters I buy them a lovely & expensive cake. I have 2 kids & for the last 2 years- they are now only 6 & 2 - they have recieved nothing. Not even a phone call. This year I decided not to buy them anything. My husband says I shouldnt even send a card. I decided to cal them and say happy birthday. This is fair isn't it? What is wrong with them? I do so much for them- organise parties, gatherings, bake food when i visit and I never go around empty handed. It was recently my brothers birthday & everyone got him gifts. Do they treat me like this because I am too nice and have become a doormat? I feel so hurt. They dont think about my kids and that hurts most. I am not taking around food anymore and have decided o lay low and only go out to dinner with them- so I am not left to do all the cooking. What is going on? My husband saya they take advantage of me & I let them. How can family do this???
