| Are we seeing the development of a new underclass of non-working state... ...subsidised individuals and families? It seems that the concept of the "working class" has in effect, stepped up the social strata to the more middle class, i.e. those in gainful employment, supporting families, namaley those who work. The growing number of non-working families with 2 or more generations of state supported individuals seems to be creating a new class, that may be ethically comparable to the "old working class", however as they do not work they are, for want of a better word an "underclass" or "non-working class". Your thoughts..................... |
