I need help!! My family is against my engagement...?

Am engaged to my sweetheart, weve been 2gether 4 3 yrs now. problem is he has 2 kids from 2 diferent past relationships. (2 boys- 6 and 3yrs old each) . i love him though,hes been good to me and weve been thru a lot 2gether,but my parents and brothers think he's not responsible enough- for him to have had 2 kids from past affairs ,they're not comfy wit him, i feel he loves me, dont know wat to do?????/
hes 36 and am 26
