Looking for a Christian Church in Jacksonville, NC, simple, laid back,...

...family friendly, open-minded? We're new to the Jacksonville, NC area and are looking for a church. Something simple, laid back, family friendly, open-minded and patient with new members. We've gone to several here and in our previous states and we enjoy a good sermon, on that the preacher simply talks to us organically about God and the bible and is truly trying to understand it together with us, not someone talking down to us or in such a way as it's just to hear himself talk.

We were "raised" lightly catholic and have enjoyed a baptist church here and there, and would probably feel comfortable in one again, or a non-denomnatial one...perhaps a prodestant? we're open! We do enjoy christian rock!

We're not into speaking in tongues, we're not into very loud, colorful ways of worshiping, we're basically trying to initiate our spiritual journey and would like a place were we can ease our way in, without being pushed, listen in on some good open honest sermons so that we can move forward together in our journey.
