Do you think my family has too many parties?

Every family member who has a birthday gets a party with a cake, adults and children and a gift of at least $25 is expected and we have a BIG family, is this normal, do many other families do this? This is almost a weekly or twice a month occasion. There is no alcohol involved.

why complain about parties?!

my family doesn't do that.. sometimes we have parties but its only for the kids, not the adults.
