My son is 6 wks old he was sleep/eat every 4 hrs until family came now he doesn't

sleep at all.? My inlaws came to visit from ohio for the weekend when they arrived my son was eating every four hours and sleeping four hours. After my sister in law left my son was refusing to sleep. While she was here he did not sleep in the bed with her however she did sleep in in guest bedroom downstairs. She did not continue him on the same schedule that my husband and I had him on she stated that when he cried loud enough that meant he was hungry so she fed him. He was drinking 4oz of milk while she was here he increased his milk intake to 6oz and sleeping throughout the night. After she left he started drinking 5oz and sleeping for 45 min. I am unsure of what changed. My husband and I sit up at night and are puzzled of the difference in him after a weekend. We visited my parents to next weekend and he slepted completely through one night and began his 45-1hr 1/2 sleep with my parents. He sleeps great during the day he will sleep for 4 hrs in one sleep it is at night where the trouble comes in.
