| Am I wrong? I don't consider a relative to be family.?
There are certain people I'm related to, that I now consider relatives versus family. I think there's a huge differences between being family towards each other and merely being related. I have an in law who lived in the same neighborhood and very close to us for five years, yet never calls, stepped in our house, checks on us, shared a meal with us even for Christmas and the holidays. But he's quick to tell others, we're family. I respond......Nope. He's a relative. Family has relationships and don't completely ignore each other. Am I wrong? Some family members think I am, but they actually have a relationship with him. By the way, he doesn't want to talk about resolving the problem or being closer.
