does my internet slow down if i share my connection with my family?

im using sbc yahoo dsl and the commercial/website said it would go 1.5 megabits and i dont know how many kilobytes that is. But im pretty sure its not around 150-180 kilobytes. thats the download speed im going and upload is slow too so im wondering why my internet is so slow. is it because i share my connection with 3 computers(dad,big sister, little sister)? and i think it shouldnt go that slow should it?

if there are anyways to make it faster please help me :']
