| How can I find my husband's biological family without having to pay some searching agency?
Long story short, my husband was taken away from his biological mother by the Child Protection Service and given into legal guardanship to a woman in Compton, CA at the young age of 2 years old. Even though physically and emotionally abused by his "adoptive" mother he still grew to love her. Yet she died of colon cancer about 12 years ago. He is uncertain about searching for his biological family because he's afraid of what he might find but he wants to keep his options open. Yet our financial situation doesn't allow us to pay for searching agencies. Is there anything we can do about this?
He says he vaguely recalls having a big family (8 children) and we do have the names of his biological parents. What can we do?
