| Can we make her sell the dusty old family farm?
So our father is quite elderly, and leaving his shares to his children (or grandchildren). He's the majority shareholder. At any rate, we have one sister who insists on keeping farming in the family. The farm is worth a few hundred million and she would enjoy keeping everyone in the family away from said money. The farm is not very profitable, but she enjoys the lifestyle, it's how we grew up (personally I couldn't wait to get the hell out). I think it's because she's holding on to old family baggage (why I can't say- our childhoods were filled with emotional and sexual abuse). She married a farmer on purpose so that she could farm on this farm. Anyway, she's been grooming her son since birth to farm this farm as well. Now that grandpa's not going to have the majority can we kick her butt off the farm and finally sell? I mean Lord knows she can take her 1/5 of the money and buy as many farms as she'd care to, so I don't exactly feel bad for her in any way.
Well aren't you just a peach darlin! Lol...
Are you two ladies jealous or something? How would you feel if your father died and one sibling prevented the others from their inheritance- even if it was a jar of pennies? She has been trying to get our father to leave her all his shares since she was a teenager, but if that makes me the greedy one, then I'm really okay with that.
