Why is it that some people dog the military in public when they have family around thats very proud of them.?

My husband is in iraq for his second tour and my brother and sister-in-law are over there as well and many times I have been in public and heard horrible things said about my heroes. My children have had to hear these things as well and I don't quit know how to explain to them why some people don't view their father and all the brave people who fight for us the way we do. I am too classy to make a confrontation with someone or to even try and reason with such logic but right now I'm sensitive I am lonely I miss him and have no nails and sleepless nights from worry. I just wish things so negative could be kept in private. I guess I would just like to hear someone be as proud of them as I am.
