I am going crazy! My family is completely psychotic!!!?

What do I do? My father's girlfriend is telling me that I need to stop my mother from pushing for shild support so that my dad doesn't go to jail for eight months. He didn't pay child support my entire childhood - I am now 19. My mother has been pushing for child support since I was about thirteen - and hasn't recieved a dime. She didn't think before then that she could legally get child support - she then spoke with someone about it and found out that she could. Since then, she has been trying for it. Now that I am 19, she can't recieve any money but back-pay is up to around $25,000 that he owes.

I love my father but I don't want to see him go to jail but I also don't want to get in the middle of all this. My dad's girlfriend called me today and told me that I need to call my mother and tell her to stop all of this. But I know she won't. And if she doesn't, somehow she (dad's girlfriend) will find a way to blame me... that's just how she is. What do I do? Stay out of it? Help!!
