Stay in the U.S with friends or move to UK with family?

Okay, my mom just got married 2 weeks ago and they are planning to move to the UK in early September. I'm currently in college and the original plan was to move with them and transfer to a university in london. (all my credits transfered!) Now I'm having second thoughts, and I'm hearing a lot of bad things about England like the people are rude and the weather sucks!. I've never been interested in even visiting England so its not an exciting opportunity for me. The only reason I would go is to be there for my mom, but now I'm thinking I should stay here and finish school and be with friends and the rest of my local family. Opinions??
